DAY 1 - Auckland

On your arrival in Auckland pickup your Ezy Rental and it is time to explore the many attractions that New Zealand’s largest city has to offer. Attractions include:-

• Auckland Sky Tower
• Waiheke Island
• Beaches
• Shopping
• Harbour cruises
• Mt Eden

Day 2 – Auckland to Whitianga

Take SH1 from Auckland down to the Whitianga located on the Corromandel Peninsula. Whitianga offers a full range of visitor services and attractions. Once you arrive choose one of the many activities this town has to offer or just relax on a white sand beach! How Ezy is that!

Day 3 – Whitianga – Rotorua

Today you will travel from Whitianga down to Rotorua.

Day 4 – Rotorua

Rotorua is filled with cultural experiences & geothermal attractions. There are many different sights to visit and things to do in Rotorua! Attractions include:-

• Whakarewarewa Thermal Reserve
• Agrodome
• Maori Hangi & Concert experiences
• Thermal spas & hot springs
• Shopping
• Gondalas & Luge
• White water rafting
• ……and lots more!

NOTE: There are so many things to see & do in Rotorua if you have extra days to spare this is a fantastic place to spend an extra day or two so you get to fit in all the things you would like to do! Waitomo caves is also accessible from Rotorua as a day trip so if you are keen to visit these magnificent caves & have a day to spare go for it – you wont regret it!!

Day 5 – Rotorua – Taupo

Today you will travel from Rotorua to Taupo. Cruise down in your own time taking in the sights along the way! Lots of photo opportunities along the way – don’t forget to get one with your Ezy Rental.

Day 6 – Taupo

Today is a free day for you to relax & enjoy what Taupo has to offer! The town is based around Lake Taupo which is New Zealands largest lake! Attractions include:-

• Fishing
• Boating trips on Lake Taupo
• Golf
• Skydiving
• Bungy Jumping
• Cafés, restaurants & much more!

Day 7 – Taupo to Wellington

Taupo to Wellington is a long drive so don’t rush, take it Ezy and enjoy your drive to New Zealands capital city.

NOTE: If you have an extra day you can stop off at the Tongariro National Park where there are recommended walks or even skiing over the winter season.

Day 8 – Wellington

Wellington is New Zealands Capital City & is overflowing with sights, activities, cafés & restaurants! There is always something to do in Wellington. Attractions include:-

• Te Papa Museum
• Parliament
• City Tours
• Shopping
• Galleries
• Gardens
• Cruises
• Walks
• …….and much much more!

Day 9 – Wellington – Picton – Nelson

Today you will cross from Wellington across the Cook Strait by ferry supporting stunning views as it brings you into the Marlborough Sounds and into Picton! You can book your ferry Crossing through Ezy Rentals at discounted rates & it is recommended that you do this a few days in advance. Cross by ferry during the day so you do not miss the views this journey has to offer!

On arrival into Picton you will depart the ferry and head to Nelson – known as New Zealand’s sunniest city & is the gateway to the Abel Tasman National Park.

Day 10 – Nelson

This is your free day in Nelson and a day for you to just take it EZY on Tahunanui beach or take part in one of the many activities which include:-

• Kayaking
• Beaches
• Art Galleries
• Historic Buildings
• Nature Experiences
• Tours to the Abel Tasman National Park
• Markets

Day 11 – Nelson – Punakaiki – Franz Josef

Today you will travel from Nelson to Franz Josef down the West Coast of the South Island. This is about an 8 hour drive so we have recommended a stopover at Punakaiki which is best known for its Pancake Rocks and Blowholes. These are truly amazing and it is a great place to stop, take it EZY, stretch the legs & get some lunch! After your break continue travelling south to Franz Josef where you will stay the night!

Day 12 – Franz Josef

A free day in Franz Josef to explore the Glaciers! There are different tours you can take including heli-hikes, full day hikes & half day hikes and they all come highly recommend. Alternatively if this doesn’t interest you a stroll in the small town of Franz Josef and a day of taking it EZY could also be an attractive option for some!

Day 13 – Franz Josef to Wanaka

Travel from Franz Josef to Wanaka. Wanaka offers a wide selection of quality tourist attractions & activities for all tastes. These include:-

• Visit the local Movie House
• Puzzle World
• Skiing & Snowboarding at Treble Cone (Winter) *Don’t forget to ask our Ezy Reservations staff about our great Treble Cone winter promotion
• Caving & Climbing activities
• Rafting
• Skydiving
• 4WD adventures

Day 14 – Wanaka – Queenstown

Keep heading down to Queenstown which is known for its adventure being named one of the adventure capitals of the world and also hosts magnificent scenery.

Day 15 – Queenstown

Today is a day for you to explore Queenstown and enjoy the sights or even some adrenalin activities which Queenstown has many of! Whether you are coming in Summer or Winter there is always things to do in Queenstown! Attractions include:-

• Skiing / Snowboarding (winter)
• Day tours
• Jet boating
• Bungy Jumping
• Sky Diving
• Hiking
• White water rafting
• Scenic Flights
• Shopping
• Cafés
• ………and much much more!

Day 16 – Queenstown – Milford Sound – Queenstown Day trip (optional)

Leave Queenstown early morning and drive down to the majestic Milford Sound. Here it is recommended that you take a boat cruise down the Sound seeing magnificent waterfalls, Mitre Peak & much more. After your tour head back to Queenstown to stay the night before heading up to Christchurch.

Day 17 – Queenstown to Mount Cook to Christchurch

Today you will leave Queenstown and begin your travels up to Christchurch via Mount Cook where you can either just enjoy the view from the road or take a spectacular heli-copter flight over the Mount.

Once you get into Christchurch enjoy a relaxing evening & meal. If you have a spare day in Christchurch you may want to spend it looking around the city or take a day tour up to Kaikoura to do some whale watching!
